    The microscopes from the 2054-CIL series are equipped with a coaxial and lateral light. Surface textures especially on chromed, reflective surfaces cannot usually be properly identified with a lateral light. Only light emitted directly through the objective can allow for this kind of inspection. The 2054-CIL microscope with standard base is available starting from 40x magnification. The additional lateral light allows, for example, for proofing and measuring of grid points on printed surfaces. The battery box included with delivery contains two 1,4 volts mignon batteries and a potentiometer for light intensity adjustment.
    The optical system is exactly the same as that of other microscopes from the 2034 and 2054 series. The stand is made out of aluminium. 

    • The microscope from the 2054 series is different from the one from the 2034 series because of its aluminium stand and of the different focus, which is done through the axial process of the tube by means of a pinion. 
    • Easy handling - simply place the microscope on the measuring field, focus, and you’re done!
    • Focussing is done by the coaxial rotation of the barrel.
    • The optical system is made out of an objective and an eyecup. As all lenses are coated, the images obtained are high-contrast and sharp.
    • The ocular has a 10x magnification and the focal plane is equipped with a scale.
    • By turning the adjustment ring, the scale can be adjusted to the diopters of the observer.
    • The image in the ocular is mirror-inverted.
    The focal plane is in the lens system, therefore dust impurities cannot end on the scale (Huygens ocular). 

    There are seven types of objectives available: 2x, 4x, 6x, 10x, 15x, 20x and 30x. The oculars corresponding to each magnification (objective) and their integrated measuring scales can easily be taken out and switched. If additional objectives are used only for visual control, then you do not need any other oculars.

    The lateral light allows the measuring of dark surfaces or in dark spaces. Two 1,5 volt Mignon batteries are needed (not included with delivery). 

    The microscope is delivered in a padded transport box, where four more objectives (can be ordered as accessories) can be stored and transported safely.

    The objectives are screwable, so it is very easy to switch them. In the standard boxes you will find four indentations, so you can easily and safely carry other interchangeable optics.

    All oculars have a 10x magnification. The integrated scaling depends on the objective. 
    Optional tripod
    For safe use on rollers or curved surfaces, the 2054-CIL microscope can be combined with the special MST tripod.
