One of the primary advantages of the PEAK 2034 measuring microscope is its easy handling. Simply set the microscope on the field to be measured and focus – that’s all. Thanks to the clear acrylic base the surface to be inspected can be viewed from all sides, making it easy to find the point to be measured. Focussing is accomplished by coaxial rotation of the tube. The short light path through the microscope makes the object appear reversed.
Available with magnification factors of 20, 40, 60x, 100x, 150x, 200x and 300x the PEAK 2034 microscope is covenient for measuring the length, thickness, height, or depth of objects with different levels.
The optical system consists of a lense and an eye cup. All lenses are coated for sharp, high contrast images. Seven types of lenses are available: 2x, 4x, 6x, 10x, 15x, 20x and 30x. The eyepiece has a magnification factor of 10x and the focal plane is equipped with a scale. Contamination of the scale with dust is not possible thanks to the Huygens design with focal plane in the lens system. The lense closest to the eyepiece can be moved by turning the adjustment ring, so that the scale can be adjusted to match the eye correction of the observer. The eyepiece associated with each magnification factor (object lense) can be replaced by simply pulling out.
Additional lenses maybe ordered at any time and are easily interchanged. However, if a lense is changed for visually checking purposes only then it is not necessary to change the eyepiece, otherwise it is important to order the associated eyepiece with each additional lense. Installing the relevant eyepiece for each lense will ensure correct measurements.
Depth measurements to an accuracy of 0.1mm are obtained by using the scale engraved on the focusing ring together with the needle on the coaxial tube. Simply focus on different levels of an object and read the difference off this scale.
The side illumination allows measurements on dark surfaces or in darkened rooms. Two 1.5 Volt AA batteries are required for operation. The microscope is supplied in a padded transport box offering secure transport and space for four additional lenses available as accessories. Download the Technical data sheet for full details.
